Program Summary
Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation's Wildlife Tomorrow program recognizes landowners who have committed to devoting some part of their land (including sloughs, native prairie, bush, marginal lands, livestock pastures, abandoned farmsteads, undeveloped road allowances, and heritage schoolyards) specifically for wildlife habitat.

Conservation Goals
The purpose of the program is to preserve habitat in its natural state for all species of wildlife, by working with landowners set aside a few acres of their land for wildlife use.
Eligible Lands
Eligible landscapes include sloughs, native prairie, bush, marginal lands, livestock pastures, and abandoned farmsteads in Saskatchewan.
Additional Details
Many different parcels exist within the “Wildlife Tomorrow” program. The criteria for selecting a site for the “Wildlife Tomorrow” program is primarily its value as habitat for wildlife. There is no deadline for applying.
Commitment
Participants commit, through a gentleman’s agreement that can be cancelled at any time to not burn clear, or drain the subject acres, and only undertake minimal grazing.
Incentive
Participating landowners receive an 18" x 24" Wildlife Tomorrow gate sign.

Important to Know
Farmsteads and schoolyards must be uninhabited (abandoned) although they can be used for machinery and grain storage, etc.
