The Conservation Incentive Finder Tool
The Conservation Incentive Finder tool connects land stewards to the numerous conservation incentive programs offered by governments, NGOs, and others across Canada's prairie provinces. This web tool is to a digital way finder – directing landowners and land managers to programs, incentives, and partners that can support them with their conservation and land management goals.
The Partners
The Conservation Incentive Finder tool is a joint initiative of the Corvus Centre for Conservation Policy, Nature Conservancy of Canada, and Birds Canada.
All three organizations operate across Canada seeking to ensure habitat is available for Canada's wild species, and all three recognize the critical role that landowners play in making that happen.
This web tool was inspired by Birds Canada's Prairie Conservation Incentives Guide, and made possible through support from the Nature Conservancy of Canada as part of the Weston Family Prairie Grasslands Initiative.
The Corvus Centre for Conservation Policy is a not-for-profit nature conservation charity.
We work with governments, NGOs, and other sectors to improve nature-related policy through applied research, program facilitation, and knowledge mobilization.
Our vision: public policy actively supports biodiversity.
The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is Canada’s leading non-profit land conservation organization. Through the Prairie Grasslands Action Plan, we aim to protect 500,000 hectares by 2030. Grasslands support biodiversity, sequester carbon, and provide critical ecosystem services. We collaborate with Indigenous Peoples, local communities, industry, and governments, and work alongside livestock producers to ensure sustainable grazing practices that help protect biodiversity while supporting a strong livestock industry.
Our mission at Birds Canada is to drive action to increase the understanding, appreciation, and conservation of birds in Canada. Birds Canada is a national charitable organization dedicated to bird conservation. Every day, our thousands of caring donors, passionate staff, and more than 74,000 volunteers are taking action to help save wild birds and their habitats. Together, we are Canada’s voice for birds.
