Program Summary

This program partners the Northeast Red Watershed District with local landowners to implement a range of conservation programs aimed at enhancing ecological health and resilience. Key initiatives include sealing abandoned wells to protect groundwater, managing riparian areas to improve water quality, and promoting water retention projects to mitigate flooding and drought. The District also supports the establishment of rain gardens, wetland conservation, and buffer zones, offering substantial funding for these efforts.
