Important to Know

  • The Government of Manitoba established, GRowing Outcomes in Watersheds (GROW) to encourage delivery of ecological goods and services (EG&S). GROW is funded by three trust funds held by The Winnipeg Foundation and managed by The Manitoba Habitat Conservancy.

  • The GROW promotes conservation of natural areas or changes to land use that provide EG&S by helping farmers develop projects that maintain or improve local watershed health and work for their operations.

  • GROW is delivered by Manitoba’s Watershed Districts. Districts convene Local GROW Committees to help determine regional priorities based on integrated watershed management plans, defining the types of projects that will have the most impact on local watersheds and will best support long-term sustainability in the area.

  • GROW creates an annual GROW Guide to their programs:https://www.gov.mb.ca/sd/pubs/water/watershed/grow-guidebook.pdf
