Program Summary
DUC's Rangeland Program provides a per-quarter section payment to Saskatchewan landowners willing to refrain from clearing, breaking or draining eligible rangeland for 10 years.

Conservation Goals
Rangeland that is kept as uncultivated grassland retains wildlife habitat, soil health and stabilization, flood protection, and groundwater recharge capability.
Eligible Lands
Eligible landscapes include Saskatchewan rangelands with water and grass within DUC's provincial Target Areas (see links below for map).
Additional Details
Landowners maintain sole discretion over land management outside of the values protected by the agreement.
No restrictions on haying or grazing.
Commitment
Landowners sign a 10-year agreement to refrain from clearing, breaking or draining areas protected by the agreement.
Incentive
Eligible participants can receive up to $5000 per quarter section of pasture.
